Last year the Arkansas Union Advisory Committee hosted Union Day in conjunction with the Union Administration Office in September, hosted the Union Design Contest to generate student ideas about needed changes in the building, redesigned meeting room 401 with the help of the Alumni Association, purchased new barstools for the computer kiosks on the 2nd floor of the building, served as liaisons for Union tenants, oversaw the RSO Space Allocation process, facilitated the Educational Benchmarking (EBI) survey to 303 students in April, painted Razorbacks in the stairwells to enhance the look of the blank walls, and assisted with other various projects throughout the year.
This year the Committee hopes to assist the Arkansas Union in its focus on sustainability, propose an artwork plan that would continue from year to year to improve the aesthetic value of the building, redesign meeting room 301, continue the liaison program, and work closely with the Union Director and Administration Office to continuously improve the Union for all its occupants.
